    Club Announcement

Lyne FC are pleased to announce a move for the men’s team and improvements to expand our youth section.

After gaining their third promotion in four years the men’s first team have finally made it to step seven of the football pyramid, we have been fortunate enough to be offered a fantastic opportunity to enter into a ground share agreement with Ascot United at their excellent Racecourse ground. The racecourse ground is a super venue for football and will be even better at the start of next season with a state of the art 3G pitch currently under construction. The move for the men’s team away from Jubilee High School will gain us much needed space for 2/3 new youth pitches on our home grounds which will accommodate the ever expanding youth section, our ladies team and also offer potential for our recreational men’s team to enter the FA flexi league. In addition, we will have the space to host our very own football tournaments next summer should we wish.

Over this summer we will be re-investing and working hard on the grounds starting with pitch renovations and seeding next week, installing our new catering facility, reconfiguring pitches, Purchasing further new goals and generally preparing the site ready for the new season.

I am sure you will appreciate that this is a bold move which will hugely benefit the club as a whole and allow us to naturally grow, develop and enhance the great environment we offer to our players and visiting clubs.

We would like to publicly thank Ascot United Football Club for supporting the ground share proposal and indirectly assisting Lyne F.C to move forward continuing our expansion and improving the quality we offer our membership.
